The Uniden GMR4055-2CKHS is a rugged, state-of-the-art GMRS radio packed with features for hiking, skiing, sporting events, and other outdoor family activities. It supports all 22 FRS/GMRS channels with 121 privacy codes. It also supports NOAA weather channels and weather alerts. The Uniden GMR4055 features a backlit display, vibrate call alert, 10 Call Tones, channel scan, Power Boost PTT, keypad lock and VOX capability. It also has a built-in emergency strobe light for use as a flashlight or emergency beacon. The GMR4055 can be powered by 3 AA alkaline batteries (not included) or 3 AA NiMH rechargeable batteries (included) as needed. When using the rechargeable batteries, the 4055 can be charged with its drop-in desktop charger ot through the mini-USB port built into the top of the radio. The GMR-4055 is also JIS4 water resistant from water spray to ensure a measure of durability from inclement weather out in the field.
